STACY A DOCKINS
500 HR. E-RYT, Corrective Exercise Specialist, NTP
A perpetual student at heart, Stacy Dockins is especially fascinated by the science behind long-term musculoskeletal functionality and overall physical and mental wellness. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M in 1994, she has continued her formal education with several additional courses in nutritional therapy, organic chemistry, anatomy, and physiology. Through EdX.org, she co-taught the online course, “The Science and Practice of Yoga,” which had over 19,000 participants from around the globe thus far. Embodied Posture is her first book. Stacy is a 500 Hr. E-RYT, A Corrective Exercise Specialist with National Academy of Sports Medicine, and a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. She is the director of the 500 Hr., and 200 Hr. Yoga Teacher Training programs with Yoga Project Studios. Alongside her husband Dave, they have trained over 1,000 teachers world-wide.
Stacy enjoys mentoring teachers and teaching her own weekly yoga and meditation classes at the Yoga Project studios, which she co-owns with her husband, Dave. Together they train teachers and lead wellness retreats in Texas, Thailand, Bali, and Costa Rica.
A few of her other interests include cycling, plants, nature, and books. When they aren’t out exploring backroads on their bikes, Stacy and Dave might be at home cooking, reading, or practicing together. They have three grown children. Along with Dave, Jake, Kera, Luke, and the family dog, Buster, are the main loves of Stacy’s life.
